APTNO.6 stands for Apartment 6 because that’s where it started. We are Melbourne-based social wine club for young people, built on the idea that wine shouldn’t be so intimidating.
We are for people who want to make (and keep) new friends over a very good bottle of wine. We are for wine loving, wine curious, those just starting in their wine journey and those who aren’t. This place is for you.
We host tastings, dinners, parties and various other excuses to get people in a room together. The wine is excellent, but the people are really the point.

Not a thing. You can know absolutely nothing about wine, have unnecessarily strong opinions about Chardonnay, or fall somewhere in between. There's no prerequisite knowledge, no silly questions and absolutely no expectation that you know what minerality means. Frankly, half the wine industry can't agree on that either.
-
Yes. Please do. Most people come to their first event solo, and plenty leave with new mates. Megan the host welcomes everyone individually at the door and will adopt you into a group of friendly faces very quickly so you are never by yourself.
We put a lot of thought into making it easy to meet people without the awkwardness of organised networking or, God forbid, an icebreaker.
-
That's the whole point. We're not particularly interested in hosting events where everyone turns up with their existing friends, drinks six wines and goes home.
About half the group are returning housemates (guests), so there are always familiar faces here. We want you to leave knowing someone you didn't know when you arrived. Ideally, someone you'll see again.

Most of our crowd is in their 20s. 30s and 40s, but we're not enforcing an upper age limit. If you like wine, meeting people and having a good time, you'll probably fit right in. You do, however, need to be over 18. That one we're fairly strict on.

Not in the traditional sense. There are no membership fees, applications or initiation ceremonies. You can come to one event, come to every event, or just lurk in the group chat until you work up the courage. Whatever works, but the more involved you are, the better your experience normally is.
